Item Exchanges

All we ask is that you contact us before returning merchandise for a Return Authorization Number (RA#), that you do it within 30 days from your purchase date, and that you include your original receipt with your return. Sorry, but returns sent without an RA# will be returned, unopened, to you.

We accept VISA, MasterCard, Discover Card, and American Express transactions for purchases made on the web site. Please call (503) 786-2445 and we will be happy to accommodate your preferred method of payment.  Please note,  if you are placing an order with Indoor Garden Depot for the first time your bill-to and ship-to address must match.  After your initial order, addresses may differ.

Explanation of Credit Card Authorization

When you place an order, we immediately authorize your card to ensure that it can be charged when we ship your order. However, we don't charge your card until your order ships. An authorization is a non-monetary transaction that merely checks with your bank to ensure that the card is valid and has sufficient funds. Again, no money is charged to the card until we ship your order.

However, at the discretion of your bank, an authorization can (and almost always will) put a hold on that amount of your credit. The duration of this hold is entirely up to your bank. If you are checking your balance via online banking, this authorization may show up as a "pending transaction" (or it may not show up at all). We do not have any control over the duration of these holds.

An authorization will only remain open for a set period of time that depends on your bank's policies. For debit cards, an authorization will usually expire in 14 days, while a credit card's hold can remain open for up to 30 days (again, the duration of these holds depends upon the card issuer's policy).

If an authorization expires before we ship your order, we must re-authorize the card before we can settle the charge. Since the average order on indoorgardendepot.com takes anywhere from 1 to 10 business days to fulfill, some orders may be authorized twice. This is especially true for preorders and backorders.

If, when you place your order, your card is declined because of insufficient funds, and you think this is in error, you should check your balance with your bank and/or contact customer service before you attempt to place the order again. There are cases where we will receive a decline notice, yet your bank will accept the authorization and place a hold on your funds. In this instance, if you try to place the order again with the same card, it will probably fail again and put another hold on your account. If you keep resubmitting the order, you can quickly tie up your available credit on multiple authorizations for an order that cannot be completed; instead, you should consider using an alternative payment method.


The same rates apply. Sales tax on web orders to certain states will be automatically calculated for you. Customers residing in states where Indoor Garden Depot does not collect

sales/use tax are responsible for payment of sales/use tax owed to that state.


Most in-stock items are shipped from our Oregon warehouse within 1 to 3 business days of receipt of your order. Orders placed over the weekend are received on Monday morning and placed in the shipping queue.


Important: Please inspect all truck shipments carefully for damaged or missing items before signing for them! Claims are often denied by the carrier after a shipment has been signed for. Please report any damages or missing items to us immediately.

Shipping Cost

We ship all orders via United States Postal Service unless otherwise suggested.

Our shipping is based on weight, size, number of items and destination zip code.

 Most shipments are sent Priority Mail and Priority Express Mail and should arrive 2-3 days after shipping others may be shipped 5-day.

Sorry, we do not ship outside the US.
